On (Not) Being a Jerk

Know someone like this? We all do. How about in the business world? A colleague? A vendor? A boss?

I got some inspiration from Jon Acuff's Start: Punch Fear in the Face, Escape Average and Do Work that Matters. Here it is:

To all the jerks out there in business, THANK YOU!

It makes my job so much easier. Yes, they are difficult to deal with. Yes, sometimes you can't stand them. And, yes, often times they make your job harder.

But, on the flip side, they make those of us non-jerks look good!

I'm amazed sometimes at how simple it is to impress a client, prospect, partner or colleague just by doing what I'd do with anyone - just being nice.

Not being a jerk can go a long way.
